Signed up recently during the Bigpond XL cable promotion. The package also included a Telstra TV and a "professional install"
Installer came out Early December. There were two issues. He did not have a Telstra TV with him and told me to contact my Local Telstra Shop to collect one.
He also would not install a new wall connection point and would only connect the modem to our old unused foxtel point.
I asked for a new point as the existing one was awkwadly placed. He said he can only do external wall points. I said thats fine and then he said he cant do it anyway as it had been raining that day.
He would not reschedule and told me if I wanted a new wall point I would need to pay an electrican. He spent about 10 minutes setting up the modem and then left.
I contacted my Local Telstra Shop about the Telstra TV and they wanted nothing to do it with. They told me the installer needed to provide the Telstra TV and to contact Bigpond online or by phone.
I did this via email and Bigpond then told me to contact Foxtel. I contacted Foxtel who said its nothing to do with them (which i agreed with) and they send me back to Bigpond.
So i am again waiting to here back from Bigpond.
Dont know If im doing something wrong but so far the process has been farcical.
Does a Professinal install include a new wall point or not? And how do I get my included Telstra TV?
