My modem now connects to WAN properly in NAT mode.However I still can't make the VoIP phone work in this mode. Have setup port forwarding, tested it worked using netcat, but the voice is only 1 way.

What type of connection are you on? When you log in to your modem (http:\\10.0.0.138), and go to the Broadband Connection page, what does it say?
