It is likely that it is either that the modem has some weird glitch, or that the change of modem order has resulted in the speedboost not adding back on correctly...
I would have expected that they should have checked the order to make sure it completed correctly, so i'd say the tech coming out is likely the most logical step, they can check the modem, connection, clear the line and those sorts of things to make it run as smoothly as possible
