Re: What is the minimum speed Telstra guarantees ADSL 2+ to connect at?

Just another enraged Telstra customer adding his mute voice to the chorus. 

 

Moved all my services to Telstra a couple of weeks ago from TPG who had been providing ADSL to this address without an issue for nearly 5 years.  For the first couple of weeks I didn't detect any issues with my new Telstra ISP but now it's basically unusable.  Very suspicious that it seems to kick in around the same time every night (9pm ish).  I don't believe that it's 'distance from the exchange' or whatever because as I say the TPG service worked without incident for years on the exact same infrastructure.

 

Telstra support is hopeless, making me jump through the same useless hoops every time - "turn your modem off and on again", "what make/model is your modem"... why isn't this stuff kept in a CMS so they can see these steps have been repeatedly taken already??  Then there's the 'hey if you need more help click this link' emails that don't work and the links go nowhere.

 

Only 2 years of this to go.  The last time I was a Telstra customer (about 10 years ago) I had to get TIO in my corner to help sort out their unusable service. I guess I'll be using them again, and soon.
