I contacted Cebu several times regarding my cable modem resetting itself. I was told my CG3100 was old and needed replacing. I agreed to pay $218 for a new C6300BD and have found it is happening for this device also.
This only started happening after a cable upgrade was done in my area on the 10th of March.
I contacted Cebu again and was told they would need to replace my modem. I explained i didn't believe it was a hardware problem and was told they would monitor the line. While i had tech support on the phone i logged into router and could see "Resetting the cable modem due to docsDevResetNow" in the event and syslog files. I told the level 1 tech this but was told they didnt look at log files. When i googled the log alert it was a remote reboot done from the network end.
Does anyone know who i can go to to stop this happening as i cant seem to get past level 1 support who just follow knowledge articles and cant tend to think for themselves?
