Since I've been waiting on hold for nearly 1 hour now with no idea of any end in sight, I'll vent for a bit.
Telstra shipped me out a new Gateway Max router, which I never ordered. I went through a cable upgrade a number of years ago and thought this was a similar process - something that Telstra wanted to happen and to just go with the flow.
This month I find out they're wanting me to pay for the migration. So, I got an online chat and got that sorted - return the new unit and go back to the old one.
This afternoon, I plug in the old system, which worked fine before this debacle and now it's trying to do the gateway registeration crap again. And so I've lost my cable access and am in waiting on hold hell. I'd like to force all their management to listen to the on hold music for several hours per day as punishment.
Why is it that they could not have fixed this when they knew I had to revert back?
