So Telstra continually say there are no ports available at my exchange.
But a friendly roadside conversation with Telstras technician has left me with the understanding that there are ports available and they are being reserved for rich new estate across the road (I have just moved to an old acreage block, that has an active phone line), he also informs me that this is common practice.
Now can I take his word for it, why not, what has he to gain from talking rubbish.
Have gone through Telstras escalation team and I get same runabouts, we will check the back of house they will tell if ports are available, well no they can't they can give you an idea if ports are available, we have to check physically at the source and find out if this 2 class system is actually happening there must be a third party there to inspect if there actually is ports available. OMG is this actually happening in Australia.
TIO phone call on the cards for tomorrow.
