Asking for first name and employee number is fine

 

 

While they should also prompt it, you can also request a get back in touch email and then confirm you get it before hopping off the phone/livechat. Beside a link in the email which with organise a callback with the consultant if they are available, it also contains the consultants first name, employee number, and interaction/reference number for the Call/Chat
