Hi everyone,
I am quite happily using iinet's Naked ADSL2 where I live in queensland except that I get constant drop-outs due to very old copper wires; they've sent 2 Telstra technicians who have confirmed this. Basically there is nothing that can be done. Now I have Foxtel installed and thus can get Telstra cable, which I am thinking of getting just for the stability factor. I fully understand that advertised speeds do not match reality (even with my current connection I only get 3-4.5MB downloads and about 0.6MB upload, which I have accepted as being good enough).
I went to the local telstra store but either they did not know much or simply wanted to sell me bundles with Telstra TV eventhough they know I have Foxtel all set up. I know the 500GB deal advertised at $95 sounds the best to me but reading the critical info confuses me; there's three prices in there, none of which are $95 and are based on phone connections, which I do not have.
Does Telstra still have naked cable or what exactly do these bundle cover-what I mean by this is if I have to get a phone connection do I have to pay phone line rental with a bundle?
Regards
Parvinder
