Telstra ADSL2 issues - supprt line is not helping me

Hi

I hope someone can assist me...

For the last month or so i have started experiencing continuous drop outs on my ADSL2 line at home. I have been using a Draytek 2820VN modem for about 6 years now with Telstra and i have had no issues at all. My modem could be connected for weeks at a time without dropping out.

I am now getting between 3 - 6 drop outs a day sometimes more, my speed is also VERY slow. My line syncs at about 10mpbs - 12mpbs and i am about 2.5km from my exchange.

For the last 6 years i have been comfortably downloading around 900kbps - 1200kbps without any issues.

So i thought i would log a support call with Telstra, what a mistake. No one is helping me at all, i was escalated to level 2 support who had organised a field technician, i was told this was happening the Tuesday just gone and i would get a call ( meanwhile i had waited 2 weeks to get to this stage ) i never received a call, then i was told the technician would be at teh exchange on wednesday this week and would come to my home also. I stayed home from work expecting a call and a visit and didnt get either. So  i called back and was told it was never going to be wednesday and its for the 28/9 !! the level 2 support tecnician said " your exchange is congested but shouldnt be causing drop outs " he then said there is no date to when the congestion would be fixed..... great.... my speed still syncs at around 11mbps but my download speed is lucky to be 150kbps. I am meant to be paying for an ADSL2 connection, but instead im getting a very unstable connection with ADSL1 speed if im lucky.

Worst customer service ever! all i want is these issues to be fixed, i even deviced to purchase a new wireless modem / router to see if that fixed my issues ( even though i knew it wouldnt because i had been using my old modem for 6 years without any issues ) i am now using an Asus DSL-AC68U which is awesome for wireless coverage around my home.

If i dont get any type of assistance regarding my issues then i will be looking at pulling all my Telstra services. I currently have 2 moblile services, ADSL2 service, home phone, Ipad data plan and i was going to be moving a third mobile service to my account with Telstra also next month.

Hopefully someone can look into my never ending Telstra nightmare!

Regards

Daniel
