*sigh* why is everything from Telstra so hard?
All I want is a static IP for my ADSL ($10 per month) and it's bordering on impossible to obtain.
1st attempt - Log into my account and select the option to "add a static IP address" should take approx 1 hour to activate. 24 hours later no static IP.
2nd attempt - Talk to live chat who confirm that there is no order in the system and 'simply log into your account to add it to your service - it may take up to 24 hours to activate. 2 days later no static IP address.
3rd attempt - Contact live chat, apparently my multiple requests have 'jammed up the queue' so they delete them all and tell me to resubmit my application - another 24 hours pass and no static ip address
4th attempt - Contact live chat (again) and surprise surprise there is no application in the system, not to worry just submit it via your account and it will be added. - 2 days later no static ip address.
5th attempt - Contact live support- it appears my 2 applications have jammed up the system again (wait am I seeing a trend here?) we will cancel both and then resubmit the application again.
6th attempt - Another week and still no static IP address.
So i put it to the helpful people on crowdsupport - does this product actually exist or is it a remnant of a feature that used to exist?
If it does exist - how on earth does one order it and communicate with an individual who can actually complete a simple customer request?
