Does anyone know how to get a telstra tech to actually come out and fix the pit in the street that holds my ADSL connection?
I've had intermittant at best connection for 24 months now and every time I call the suppport phone numbers they spend 40 minutes explaining how it is most likely a problem within my home. While the pit in the street is completely open without a lid and whenever it rains or my neighbour mows their lawn my internet drops out for a couple of days.
When telstra do (twice in 24 months) send a tech out, all they do is wrap the exposed wires with sticky tape but never fix the pit they are stored in. This lasts for a month or so until the sticky tape deteriorates under the elements and my problem comes back.
